Had a p0411 code had the car on with the scanner plugged in and wasn't thinking and erased the codes while the car was still on right when I clicked erase car started to sputter then died now won't start I checked the ecu fuse and fuel pump fuse there both good and i disconnected the battery for a good 5 mins ..still won't start thinking maybe I messed up the immobilizer in the key does anybody have any other ideas ???? Kinda stumped

Need more info. Does the fuel pump prime? starter turn? all electricals appear to work?

Have you done any troubleshooting e.g. check for spark & fuel or ?

Fuel pump primes motor cranks will even almost turn on but doesn't ..spark is there just checked ..electronics all seem fine

Sometimes an ecu fault will keep the car from starting on it's own even if all the systems check out. See if you can jump start the car, if you can, then see if you can start it again on its own. It could be a ecu fault if it only starts with a jump start

That's weird. I have the same type of scanner (brand). And it won't let me erase the codes until car is on but not running.
