Request detail instruction of
GUys, i know there have been posts how about "removing stock steering wheel" but I'm not still not very clear. I'm still nervous about the airbag will shoot on my face while i'm working on it.
pls correct me if i'm wrong
1. pop the two caps on the side of the steering wheel and then remove the screws.
Other than that, i'm not very clear of what i tools i need and what's inside coz i have never taken it apart.

You have missed a very critical step ...................................
You MUST disconnect the battery for at least 3 minutes before beginning work whenever an airbag is involved. Are you sure you are capable of doing this job?
The airbag must be removed first and there are specific steps to take to do this. Then you need a steering wheel puller. Unless you have a Helm manual to direct you, this can be a very dangerous operation.

oh yeah, of course the battery has to be disconnected. I didn't bother mention that because it's a "must"
But other than that.... Just want to make sure that i'm on the right track.

Pulling the wheel off may take some force. I used a $7 steering wheel puller on mine....Asura impressed me when he punched the crap out of the wheel and then pulled it off in a pretty impressive feat of strength. Unfortunately the ribbon of the SRS system was still attached, but visually that made it all the more impressive. In any case, you should consult a manual if you're not comfortable.
Definitely disconeect the battery for a few mins.

Actually there's a bit of a trick there. No puller is required. Loosen the bolt about 3 turns then you can work the wheel loose. Alternate pulling on one side, then the other and you should only have to wiggle it 4-5 times before it loosens up enough so it slides right off the splines. Good idea to leave the bolt in so neither the wheel nor your fist whacks you in the head when it comes loose.
Also, once it slides on the splines, then you can ensure that all the wires are disconnected from the ($500cdn) cable reel before taking the wheel all the way off.

If you use a puller, make sure the puller bolts are in far enough but not too far. You can damage the cable reel that is made of plastic. On the other hand if the bolts are not in far enough you can pull out the threads. I believe the wheel is made of magnesium alloy and is very light but soft.
