Replacing the stock air filter w/ K&N?
Does the k&n filter just hook up to the stock intake like the stock filter, or do you need to use a hose clamp to hold it on?

I already bought the K&N filter for the S 2000. When I was looking at the area where the stock filter attaches to the intake pipe it looks a little different than the K&N. I know I have the right filter #E-2435. I tried search numerous times and could not get it to work today.

If you have the correct "drop in" filter, it should need no additional parts. It should seal well when in place. Does it have that little "peg" on the end that fits into the hole in the airbox? That's to keep the filter from slipping out of the intake tube. It's such an easy thing to install. You should be able to find out in 2 minutes or less.

Go and read www.bobistheoilguy.com, before you decide to switch to K&N filter and draw your own conclusion.

Mine also slipped right in place. However, being winter here (spring soon!!!!) I had to use a blow dryer to get the Honda filter off and maybe that helped slide in the K&N. As well as the little pin on the underside you should see 2 little slots topside between which a notch slides from the air intake hose.
