Hi, My starter went out on me yesterday morning and I have never replaced the starter before on the s2000, but have done it on a a lexus where the starter was right on top where its simple to reach to take out. I looked at the S and Im thinking would it be easier to starting from the top taking the intake manifold out or from the bottom? Thanks..

you will need to unbolt the alternator i believe and get it out the way.. you will be using some long extensions to get to the bolts. Let me know if you have an electronic copy of the helms, I can email it to you..
I thought mine was out too, found out the wire to the solenoid was loose, pushed it in, and voila, all is back to normal =)

Im pretty sure mines out cause I have a remote start and when I started it, I made a clacking sound and smoked started coming out of the starter. So when I tried manual start it didnt to nothing and I HOPE nothings damaged to the flywheel.
