You should be able to just feel up past the start and find it. Look at my pics on the previous page for location. It should be fairly obvious to feel if it's broken or not.

When you replace the knock sensor was there a rubber boot over the sensor protecting it?
When you took off the wire harness, did it just pull off, or did you have to twist it or pinch it to get it off?

My sensor was completely broken so no i didn't have to twist or pinch. You should have to squeeze the tab just like any other connector though if your sensor isn't broken.

I don't think there is a rubber boot on it but I don't remember. Here is a picture of the connector (with the green piece)

I know this is old. After searching...this thread comes up the most. I want to end the confusion. I went to autozone today and got a 99 oddessy knock sensor. I can confirm the plugs are the same, and the colors are different.

I am about to install as soon as my car cools down. I WILL update.

Confirmed. They are the same, shape, size, and threads.

I installed it, and no more check engine light.

Awesome, good job. This happened to me during a clutch install as well. What was the cost savings on the Odyssey part versus the S2000 part?
