Default Replacing the High beam bulb

Can the high beam bulb be changed without taking the bumper off? has anyone doe this through the holes in the side of the engine bay near the headlight assembly? Can the bulb be reached by removing the wheel well lining?

I was able to pull the connector off the passenger side but could not see how to get acess to the bulb. I didn't want to pull the rubber boot off if there as no reason to do it this way. Can you describe briefly how to get the bulb out?

Thanks

The rubber boot surrounding the bulb? its easier to take the bulb out with the boot off.. then all you have to do is press the metal wire holding the bulb in place and move it so you can remove the bulb

remove the coolant reservoir on the drivers side and reach through the hole in the engine. there is nothing in the way on the passenger side. removing the rubber cover that's part of the water tight seal on the headlight is the hardest part.

good luck.

Putting it back on correctly isn't a piece of cake, either. It's easy to put it on slightly off the "clock" or even upside down.

Its a bit tedious, but not too difficult to do it through the hole in the fenders. Just take your time I just did mine a few days ago for the first time, I had to remove my Comptech intake which was a PITA.

I'm planning on doing this this weekend, and because I'll be replacing the parking lights as well, I just figured it'd be easier to take the bumper off the car. I also have the Comptech intake, and it's installed perfectly, so I don't wanna even touch it!

After I did it on the pass side, it was easy on the drivers side. I put slicone spray on the rubber seal to make it easy to put back on.
