Hondabond!!! the motor is put together with that stuff so you might as well use the same thing rather than something else that may fail.

Yamabond works too if the Honda stuff is scarce.

Hondabond is an RTV but not all RTV's will do the job (lots of products considered RTV's).
RTV = Room Temperature Vulcanizing

The stuff sets up pretty quick but doesn't "fully" cure for a longer time period. If you don't live too far away you could risk it and just drive it home gentally (if it were me I'd risk it no problem).
The real issue/question is if you want the same jokers that cracked the pan to strip out the holes in your block when they install the new pan, cause they will

yeah, but which one? Permatex makes some good stuff but they also make stuff that won't hold up for the oil pan installation .......... stick with the stuff Honda calls out (which is very close to the Yamaha stuff in my experience)
