Default Replacing clutch...

I've lowered the subframe, removed all the bolts, disconnected all the sensors, and the stupid transmission wont come loose from the engine. I've got it separated about a half inch and it wont budge past that. I've tried 2 pry bars at the same time, on the left and right side and in the little notch at the bottom. I also have a friend helping. I double checked clearance and I can put my hand between the firewall and the trans so it will come off once I break the spline loose.

Did you get the starter bolt out?

"all the bolts are out", you can see the separation, its about 1/2 inch but it wont budge past that.

Remove the slave cylinder, and pull the clutch fork out from the gearbox. The clutch is a pull style and the fork pushes into a slot in the thrust bearing.

Make sure you are holding onto the box as it will come down with a crash when you pull the fork.

The Slave cylinder is already out. So the fork will com right out if I tug on it? And when you say the box will fall, are you talking about the transmission itself or a box inside the transmission? Just want to clarify before I mess something up, thanks

I have found it easier to just unbolt the motor from the engine mounts and using another jack, jack up the front of the motor to tip it towards the back of the firewall. it always gave me plenty of room to slide the tranny out.

or just pay to have a shop do it the next, much easier...
