Default Replacing A/C Heat Fan Switch

I purchased a new fan switch (my old one had paint flaking off) online for my S. I need to remove the cover that's placed overtop of the AC & heat controls. Does anyone know how to remove that panel?

It looks like you can pry it open with a screwdriver, but I'd rather not $#@$ anything up and then have to replace that piece too. Anyone have instructions on this?

Thanks

The steering column must be lowered, the cluster bezel trim removed and then you replace the AC controls.
