Default Replacement Batteries

Hello everybody my 06 S2K has a Pannisonic battery it has the little "eye" that tells you it's status. The question is this I bought the car used and it currently only has about 14.5k miles and I think it is the original battery. It is currently (bad pun intended) fine but I would think in the next year I would need to replace it. Does anybody have any recomedations. I would like to stick to a stock style battery. I don't race the car or have any heavy duty audio equipment in it.

Thanks

Troy

I just replaced mine with a Kirkland battery from Costco (their brand). It has better specs than the stock battery for CCA (500 vs. 410), it's the same physical size, and it is extremely affordable. Good quality battery IMO. My car turns over a bit faster with this battery. My stock battery wasn't dead, but I replaced it sooner rather than later. I got the 51R size, fits fine, you just turn it around and the label faces a different direction, no biggie.

costco or the honda one is not too much more i think it was 80 or something. ask for 10% discount and they give you 10 bucks for your old battery. nice to keep everything oem imo as its not a civic. a special car you wanna keep

I went with an autozone battery with stock specs. There are only 3 major battery suppliers if I'm not mistaken that get rebadged and resold. Just go for the one you like with specs you like for the price you want to pay.

The plus side only paid $85 and it's red and black lol. Merry Christmas.

I went with an Interstate 51R. I've always had good luck with them. I've heard the same thing that S2000x mention. That there's only 2-3 companies that make the batteries anyways.
