Replaced injectors, now I have a fuel leak
Hi guys,
I replaced my injectors because I was getting the misfires in multiple cylinders cel. When I did it i removed the part that has a plastic cover shaped like a bell. Now there is fuel leaking out of there. How can I fix this? I know i will have fuel loss but is it save to drive until i can buy what ever i need to fix it? If you look at the pics, the fuel is leaking from where the fuel rail meets the brass part that's screwed down with the star screws.

Yes. there is two washers. One for the top and one for the bottom. They should be replaced when you remove that. But I would bet you installed them wrong. The top one on the bottom and the bottom one on the top.
Take a look at the washers and see if you can switch them back.
Also next time, don't remove the fuel line to replace the injectors. You did not have to.

What type of lube? I don't think I cut the ring. All I did was pull I out and push it back in. Is this the area with the two washers u were talking about?

go to an auto parts store with that o-ring. tell them it's part of the fuel system. they'll supply you with the right o-ring.
the washers they were talking about is above the o-ring. above and below the "round" (banjo) part.
lube it with a light coating of engine oil. just a dab off your dip stick will do. you don't want to install it dry.
it's like doing your woman. lube it up and it'll go in nicely. force it in dry and you will probably tear something.

A new o-ring will be less than a dollar. Go get one and see if that fixes the problem. As you can see, it is the most obvious item that could cause a leak no matter how perfect it looks.
Most people don't remove that dampner by removing the star-bolts (it's not a common tool). But you may need to make sure the star-bolts are torqued correctly per the Helm's (if the torque specs are even in there).
