replaced coolant system.....
well in preparation of getting a turbo kit, i thought i would upgrade the cooling system to support the extra heat. So, i went with mishimoto parts, radiator, hoses, stat, fans, and fan switch. i flushed the system completely with distilled water and then replaced it with 50/50 and added 2 bottles of royal purples engine ice. under normal operation, the temp gage was at 7-8 bars. mine is an ap2, my understanding is that 7-8 is the norm. however now it operates at 4-5 bars. so, is my system TOO efficient? i already reset the ecu and it did it again. so im a little worried now. i will check the code tomorrow. it doesnt retard my system either. any input would help. any ideas what caused it? and is i bad for my car?
i have an AEM version 2 ems, would this fix my issue if is is indeed my factory ecu that cant support my mods?

double check your work to see if you left any hoses or sensors disconnected. I just replaced my rad hoses and I had to pull a handful of vacuum hoses and some sensors to access the tight fit of the engine bay. I'd bet the CEL is due to one of them, get a reading of the CEL to see what code it is. I doubt your CEL is due to the cooler temps.

Get rid of the mishimoto thermostat and get a Honda oem one. If your engine is not coming up to normal operating temp, check the thermostat first. Also, I doubt the Engine Ice will be needed.

OP, its most likely due to your lower temp opening thermostat. You should just reinstall the OEM t-stat and you'll do fine. Running lower temp t-stats wont help the car keep cooler, it just slows down the speed it takes to hit higher temps... (aka, not letting you hit operating temp).
Actually, 4-5 bars sounds about right, I know a lot of lower temp t-stats open at 160 or 180F... Get the OEM on there and you'll definitely be good to go, even with your turbo.
---edit---
as for the CEL, its most likely due to something other than your cooling, as JFusion said. Pull the codes!

I just started up my car after swapping out the coolant hoses and got the CEL code 1597 on start-up, was for the idle air control valve. No idea how it was triggered but I cleared the code and will monitor it. I removed the IAC to make more room for the hose swap and put it all back together according to specs.
