Replaced battery, still not starting -__-
Ok, so i'm new to the s2k game.
Stopped to get gas today, went to start the car back up (wouldn't start). I had my BF come give me a jump. She started right back up.
Tried to start it again a bit later, wouldn't start. Figured it was the battery, got a new one from O'reillys, replaced it. Now it is still not starting. What are my next options???
Could it be the starter? Any tips would be awesome, looking to fix this myself. Thank you in advance

I was in your shoe just last week. I recently picked up an AP1 and according to the previous owner, the car was basically sitting around for a long time. I also only drive it on the weekend since picking it up.
If it starts after getting a jump, I highly doubt it's the starter. Not to mention, if it didn't start the 2nd time, it just sounds like a dead battery. (Unless you drove the car for 2+ hours, otherwise, there wouldn't be sufficient recharge)
It's rare, but it's possible that your battery from O'Reilly is a dud. Like I said, the fact that it started after a jump, that tells me it's the battery.
Can you jump it again?

So...
1st time (gas station) - died but it got a jump and got going again
2nd time - died after driving it back (home i guess?)
3rd time - Got a new battery from O'Reilly and it still doesn't start?
4th time - tried jumping it again (with the new battery), no deal?
Here's the definitive tell tale sign of a completely dead battery, I can CONFIRM this (ignore the video title, he was corrected by the comments):
Also, here's a good problem shoot video

If your car does the gatling gun ticking sound when you try to start it, you've got a dead battery. My old battery was so dead that, O'Reilly charged it and then overnight, it died AGAIN.
I too was about to conclude I had a dead starter and was ready to tow it into the shop to replace the starter, I don't have the skills to work the belt as part of the installation procedure.

As a last ditch effort and the car FINALLY gave me the tell tale sign of a dead batter (gatling gun ticking sound), I asked the tow truck to jump my car and it fired right up! Got a new battery and so far so good!
