Often clutch fluid is neglected hence why it leaks.

Probably just covering their ass saying M and S Need replacing

Man, I need to go into the car repair business.

Figure their cost on the parts was MAYBE $100 + $100 labor.

650 is robbery.

Yea just changed mine at work last week.. First time doing it, with the stock scissor jack, took me an hour and a half including bleeding.

I agree on the CYA. On the other hand I would have asked them to replace both while they had it torn down. We even discussed whether there were any other preventative maintenance actions they could take while they were into the clutch area.

That is robbery, and this is the sort of job any decent mechanic can handle. So no need to take it to dealer.

Any shade tree or DIY could do this easily as well. Again, no benefit from going to dealer for this service.
