Default removing stabilizer link drives me nut!

Ok I was replacing lower control arms.

And I know the first step is to remove the stabilizer links..oh well it was all rusted. after using good amount of penetrating oil, when I tried to hold the joint pins with an allen wrench and turn the nut, the joint pins got rounded.
Now there is no way to remove the nut with holding the joint pins .

Any suggestion to remove that nut and advance my process replacing the control arms?

I know I could just cut that link off and replace it with the new one, but is there a way to save the stabilizer link?

I have one more question regarding to removing the ball joint.
I was told that any kinds of puller would work, so I borrowed steering wheel puller, balancer puller...but the thing is I have no slight idea how to use them. lol

Please educate this noob! thx guys!

You have to hold the center stud, a pair of needle nose vise grips may be able to hold it from the back side.

If you can't get them loose, cutting the links is your only option.

I could get that out without cutting it.

Now can someone explain how to use the pullers(balancer puller, steering wheel puller) to remove the ball joint?

You're not going to get the lower ball joint apart with any of those pullers. They just aren't designed for seperating ball joints.

The no special tool method is to loosen the ball joint nut, then smack the crap out of the lower control arm, right where the ball joint goes through it. Repeat smacking until it comes apart.

Here is the thread that shows somebody used the balancer puller to remove the ball joint.
Can you describe what he did?

I sure can't, but Alex has quite the reputation of stretching the truth.
