Default Removing soft top fabric from frame

I read a post about how to remove the soft top fabric from the frame but I've been searching and can't find that post again. How do you remove just the fabric from the frame? Any help will be very appreciated.

I have tried to do it without removing the frame, it was a major pain.

So I gut the interior, and pull the frame.

you will need to drill out rivits for the cloth and the inner cables.

It can be done quite easily with a razor blade or utility knife. You won't put it back on though.

I only drill the front tension cable rivets, and unscrew the rear tension cable anchor screw. The rear of the door window opening has some rivets too.

All the rain rail rivets get removed after the top is out of the car.
