Default Removing lug studs...

I broke two lug studs in the process of taking the wheels off and have heard I can remove the lug studs by carefully hammering them out. The problem is I can't just access them with the brake assembly all around it. What will I need to remove in order to get this done and insert two new ones? Also, will it be a job I should let a mechanic take care of or is it fairly simple?

Take off the brake calipers and the rotors.

Infact it's probably best to take the hubs off as well and work with them on a bench.

Not sure what sort of force you need to install new studs but if you have trouble take it to a workshop with a press.

Are they hard to remove? Will I have to torque them to a specific setting when I put them back on? I don't want it to effect the drive of my car. Sorry, I'm knew at messing with the brakes.

Not really. Couple of bolts on the back of the caliper.

And the rotors are held on by 2 screws. These can be difficult and should shocked loose with an impact driver or they will probably burr.

I expect there are torque settings for reinstalling the calipers but I just do them nice and tight.

Sorry I don't understand that line. Can you rephrase?

Take it to a shop if you don't understand that line.

I think I might try doing it myself, thanks for the advice. I just need to purchase an impact wrench. Can I save money by buying a cheap one from Sears? There's one for 35 bucks on there from craftsman.

"Impact driver", not impact wrench. $25 from Sears.
