removing fuel pump, different/unique type question
hello,
Comptech supercharger being installed, installing fuel pump...
I have done searches on switching fuel pump, but I can not find any information about actually getting to the fuel pump. I went through the trunk and removed the spare tire, and the cloth lining. I can easily see the top of the pump, but if I was to lift it up it will hit the black plastic that sits just below the soft top. In the comptech install manual http://www.comptechusa.com/instructions/ins072.pdf page 9 it says to remove that plastic section (2 pieces)
There are 2 clips, A and B, I have removed all the B's .....so A's are clips that will come off from just pulling it looks like. But also how do i remove the 2 pieces???? The rear tray and rear tray trim it is called. Which do I take off first, and how, or what!!!
I do not want to break anything and I figured someone has got to have removed this part before. Any helpful hints/ tips?? How is the rear tray trim held in? It looks like that should be first.
thanks
JP

I believe there are 8 "B" clips. 4 on the headrest side, 4 on the window side. You push the center in, then use a small screwdriver under the edge of the clip to remove from the panel. Then take the thin trim that goes between the top and the tray out. start at a corner and work your way to the end. than you can remove the tray.
