Default Removing Front Fenders

Can someone let me know how to remove the front fenders (step-by-step)? I don't see it in the Helms manual. I don't understand why this is not in there?

Also, I've noticed that there are several painted bolts attached to the fender. What's the best way to protect the paint on these bolts when removing?

Thanks in advance.

you cant protect the bolts to unless you have some plastic tool no one knows about. it sucks to because thats what people that know what they are doing check for paint work. to your original question.

remove all the 10mm bolts you see when the hood is open, there are 2 more bolts inside the door jams, 2 underneather where you jack the car up (u may need to hammer the socket in because its covered with some black residue sticky stuff). And either remove the bolts at the ends of the bumper to get to the bolt that holds the front of the fender or remove the entire bumper.

hope that helps.

ps. I would remove the entire bumper if you want to remove both fenders.

That does help, thank you!

Follow up question:

Are the two items numbered 7 & 8 in the picture below adhesive? Meaning I would have to somehow pull it off? If this is so, what is the best way to remove these?

Majestic describes these two items as "Tape, Stiffener."

Seems like I would have to replace these. Is this correct?

no those things are stuck on the inside of the fender and have nothing to do with the removal process. Bolt 15 and there should be another one next to it is covered with a black spray that makes it hard to stick a socket into. I basically stuck an extension to the socket and tapped the socket in with a hammer before unbolting. Just look underneath the car where the jacks go and you will understand what I am saying.

Forget to mention you have to remove all the clips that hold the lining to the fender as well
