just wondering if anyone has removed their fender liner and what are your opinions on it.
It is held in place using the usual plastic fasteners.

Opinions? On what? The liner? The job? The state of the economy and the prospects of world piece?

you hear all of the rocks hitting your metal fenders. you get rocks stuck in your door jam. they weight almost nothing just leave them in. if you need extra clearance just trim them a little.

well, they thing is that i have the cwest fenders and my liners are pretty much beat-up. So i was just thinking of taking them off all together. thanks for the info on that
you should do that and take a heat gun and mold the fender line to give more space so that it doesn't get damaged by the tires rubbing on it. don't trim it.. if you trim it wrong it wil loose its rigidity. just smooth it out by a heat gun and a gloved hand.
fender liner = less lift, less worry during daily drive, quieter, protects many other things that are exposed.. wires switches etc. most important it will keep the water from splashing elsewhere.
