We're getting a little OT here, The car is not mine, and built for open track days at local roads courses, as well as being street driven. I just did some work on it.

Deciding between the 4.10 and 4.56, you should notice that the 4.10 has a physically larger pinion gear when compared to the 4.56. The 4.10 simply has more metal in it and if it's made of the same type of steel as the 4.56, it'll be stronger. From reading many of the past posts on this board, the pinion is usually the first point of failure, and a larger pinion is definitely a strength advantage. With 400 peak HP, you probably throw down enough power down low to make 1st gear starts a breeze with a 4.10. Once the car is up to speed, a 4.10 is fine even with a stock engine.
Are you driving the car right now with 400 HP? What gearing are you currently using? Do you like it (i.e. does it get a good start off the line, do you like where your shift points are relative to the speed of the car; changing the gearing will effect these points, maybe for the good or worse)?
Chris.
