Default Redline 75w90 in the diff

Did a search and it appears that there are not very many users of this product so I am trying get some feedback from some of you who do. I see people use the shockproof stuff, however I'm just using it for my daily commute. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

my car was run on that fluid for many years by the previous owner, at 55k it is still in perfect condition. I'm now running Amsoil severe gear 75w-110 in the diff. for added wear protection, I prefer to use this fluid but the Redline 75w90 is still a good fluid.

I'm also running amsoil severe gear, however i'm running the 75w-90 since I can't find the 75w-110 locally and i'm too lazy to order it.

I've always heard good things about redline products, pretty close to amsoil in terms of quality so I think you'll be just fine using it in your diff.

I just replaced my fluids and used Redline 75w90 in the Diff. I've used it in a few cars in the past and it's been fine for me. This is the first time I put it in the S2K, though.

The previous owner had the car serviced at the dealership and the one thing I noticed immediately after replacing the existing fluid is the "Whirrrr" from the differential is a little quieter when cold, though the sound wasn't that pronounced before.

Thanks guys! I noticed that it was a little thinner than what came out.. smelled just as bad though. I think I will look into the amsoil 75-110 next time.

The Amsoil 75w110 is a good match for an SAE90 spec that the S2k had when it was released. It has great hot temp. protection, plus it gives better performance in cold temps. Almost all 75w90 fluids I've seen are on the thinner side of the old SAE90 spec., whereas Amsoil 75w110 provides additional viscosity and should give better protection in hot temps. Their 75w140 sounds pretty tempting as well, but so far I like how the 75w110 is working on my car and I'll likely stick with it.

Is there any gear wine with that diff fluid in your car? Have you used 75W-90 before that? I'm just asking because I have a slight gear whine but im using 75w-90.

Got redline in there. My honda tech neighbor put me onto it. It's what they use at his dealer. I've had no issues.
