Default Redline in 4th gear at what speed?

I'm trying to find out what speed would the S2000 have to be to hit redline or even better, the rev limiter in 4th gear.

I ran my car at the 1/4 mile track yesterday and was about to cross the finish line in 4th gear and I felt the rev limiter kick in. Need to confirm my assumptions.

You're trapping 120s in the 1/4mi?

Not quite.

I ran 13.003 at 116.74 MPH.

My shift light was flashing but I was getting close to the finish line and I didn't want to shift, so I kept it in 4th hoping to cross the finish line without hitting the rev limiter.

I felt a bog similiar to fuel cut-off right before the finish. Wondering if that's what costed me my 12 second run.

Yep, that'll do it for you. The 4-5 shift though, would have cost you even more. With a better 60ft perhaps you could pick it up enough to make 4-5 shift well before the finish line.

According to the gear calc:

Max speed in 4th gear (8900 rpm) is 116.3 MPH
But at 9200 rpm, it's at 120 MPH.

Does anyone know for sure if the rev limiter comes on at 9200 rpm? Perhaps sooner?

If the rev limiter did kick in, I wonder if I'd do better letting off the throttle a bit and going through the traps without the bog. It felt like someone tapped the brakes on me.

I agree. My 60 ft times sucks.

I was going to recommend that, but was too lazy to type it.

What are you trying to accomplish? There is no assumption here that I can see. You hit rev that's all. Are you trying to run in the 12's without spending another dime? I'm not trying to being rude at all but just wondering. If you just want a slip that says you ran in the 12's there are many things you could do. Let us know.

If you cut a better 60ft, you may not be at that exact speed where you lose time no matter what (feather, bump, or shift). I'm assuming that's why he wanted to know the gear limited top speed of 4th gear.
