I just now started using Schaeffer synthetic but it's kinda hard to come by. I buy it from a local dirt track racing shop. I got flamed in another thread for saying my opinion about it that it was the best. I knew it would happen. Try to find it though and you won't be sorry.

Amsoil 10W30. The best oil you can buy IMHO. You can order it directly from their website. Takes about 5 days to get to your front door.
An inordinate number of S2000 owners complain of high oil consumption while using standard Mobil 1 (use the search engine to read them). Standard Mobil 1 is actually rather volitile (NOACK volitility rating is very high for a synthetic).
The popular fix for high consumption is to install the Krank Vent system.
If you're going to spend the money on a synthetic, you might as well get one that actually out performs a standard mineral based ("dino") oil. The only real world benefit of standard Mobil 1 over modern conventional oils is it stays fluid at very cold temperatures. Summer is just about here - I don't think you have to worry about cold temperatures for a few more months.
Amsoil or Redline would be my recommendation to you. If you decide on using a Mobil 1 product - Mobil 1 EP is actually a decent synthetic. It's more expensive than standard M1, but is a much better oil.

so your saying....you can feel the difference between different synthetics?
I don't know anything about Schaeffer oils. I haven't seen analysis on any of their products.
I have seen a lot of analysis on Mobil 1, Amsoil, Castrol Syntec, Redline, as well as other major manufacturers - and that's why I use Amsoil. It's simply a much better oil. Redline performs very well - it's just more expensive than Amsoil.
