You should consider JDM pistons with a thinner head gasket then the compression will be raised from 11.1 to 12. We have done it to a few customers' car it it works pretty well.

I like this idea too.

Along with stock NGK plugs

How much do JDM pistons go for? Do I need to hone the cylinders before installing the new pistons? The walls looked good when I checked the motor out. No rough spots, just a smooth bore.

It depends on the tolerances of the pistons. You want a piston matched to the bore. I know the answer on an Integra-R which is don't hone for ring seal but, do hone if the bore's grooved. I haven't looked up whether that's true on an FRM bore of the F20.

You're basically turning it into a project car, not a daily driver. Is that what you want?

You'll have better luck if you start your own thread and use some better spelling and grammar.

Yeah, and there's no way in hell Honda will install non-OEM parts.

Sell phone! You should have used the number 2 for the letter 'C' instead of 7 for 'S.'

Based upon my findings, you will be very hard pressed to "upgrade" the OEM parts. They are really "that good."

If you insist on it, you will need to sleeve the motor unless Mahle has come out with the pistons that they forecast.
I understand what you are saying.. I am going to buy new pistons and rods and new sleeves to match... I am going to reduce my compression so I can go Turbo or SC..

anyone know of any good pistons and rods I should get??
