Default Rear Wheels smells like burnt tires

Hi guys, this post is regarding my rear wheel. When I park my car after driving, a strong burnt rubber smell is coming off from the sides of my rear wheel... I'm not sure if its the tires or oil, but I don't see any fluids leaking. My car oil maintenance light just recently came on. Could that be the problem?? This has never happened before. Thanks for the help.

This happens occasionally in the warmer months when running sticky tires. Your oil maint. light likely has nothing to do with this issue.

The smell comes from both sides. I'm not sure if its more of coming under the car or not, but the smell is very distinct when I lean next to my tires/wheels

might want to check the alignment, if the car is running excessive toe in you could be going through tires faster than you'd want to

How are the tire pressures? If they are to low, the shoulders of the tires can overheat causing the burning smell.
