I have the same questions as gernby about the rear wheels off the ground. If the wheels are on the ground and no wheels are turning for you to register speed on the speedometer, something else is going on here. The speed sensor is on the side of the transmission housing and reads the speed of the output shaft. If the output shaft is turning, then see if the prop shaft is turning. If the prop shaft is turning and the 1/2 shafts are not, then the diff is busted. This is assuming that nothing has been purposedly disconnected (like the prop shaft to diff connection and diff to 1/2 shaft connections).
Oh, and the brake can still be seized but this would be just another issue. Also, if something is broken, that seized side could be frozen from the output shaft on out to the wheel hub.

So i jacked it up and stuck my head under there. It's missing a 1/2 axle! on the same wheel that wont turn. Well i know ill have to get one before the car will move on its own. but i still can't figure out why the wheel wont spin. I went at the brakes with a rubber hammer and then a real hammer on the rubber one. but still now rotation.

Also when i put the car in gear where the axle should be was spinning. this is how i was getting speed on my gauges.

just about a month ago, I broke a half axle. because of that, car does not move at all.

FOCKER! I thought the ECU used the ABS sensors to determine speed.

You have a seized bearing in the hub,,,,that is why someone took out the axle,,, so they could move the car.
