Rear Spindle Nut

Rear Spindle Nut
Is there a way to break loose the spindle nut on the rear halfshaft (36mm 186Ft#) with no calipers and no driveshaft to hold the axle from spinning? Kinda screwed up on this one pretty good. Thanks for any help

really cant think of a way to keep it from spinning without doing any damage. is it possible to put the axle back in, so you can put it in gear....or possibly putting the caliper back on so you can pull the ebrake. what about putting the wheel on, and dropping the car?

Take a hammer or block of wood and wedge between the floor and a lug nut stud. Use an impact wrench (compressed air or electric...if you don't have one, you can buy an electric from Harbor Freight for under $100). If you use a hand wrench you will put a great deal of pressure on that stud and it may break.
BTW if you don't already know...when you re-torque...that 36mm should be torqued to 220ft/lb. There is a TSB out on that...the Helms manual is incorrect.
