Rear Passenger Wheel Screeching
Basically the last two days, whenever I am driving forward at any speed (local or highway) I would hear this screeching from the rear passenger wheel. When I look at the brakes, it does seem to be pretty close to the indicator but I'm not sure if its the bearing or not. The sound comes and goes randomly, doesn't matter if I'm driving forward, left or right and does not go away even when I brake unless I come to a complete stop. Anyone know what the issue is?
I have searched through a few threads but none of them explained that the screeching stayed even at high speeds (65MPH+) and that even when braking, the sound did not go away until completely stopped.

If the sound is continuous, meaning a full rotation of the tire, then it's probably a wheel bearing. If it's cyclic, meaning only once/twice per revolution then it's probably brakes.. I'm going through this now myself, however, my car has 111,000 miles in western NY state (lots of salt) and still has the original rotors on the car. A way to find out, is to pull the wheel, and turn the rear piston back into the caliper and drive the car. If the sound goes away (only for a mile or two), then it's definitely the brakes.
I'm replacing the rotors and pads on my car. The RR rotor is definitely hammered..
Good luck.
