I printed the entire thread when i made my last post, and brought it both to the upholstery shop and to the dealer's service manager. The dealer kept it to show the regional service manager. They did the right thing.

I picked up the car yesterday, top replaced, cost me 10% and Honda picked up 90%. Oh, and now my two middle nipples have been replaced with plugs like dead-bird's picture.

BTW, it took longer because the first replacement top they ordered came with a plastic rear window. Didn't know Honda made them anymore.

But still, my 2cents:

I never removed the two nipples til about two or three months after I did the conversion. Everything seemed to work fine for me, but when I was doing the straps on ribs conversion, I checked things to make sure they were going to align properly.
