i forgot the name, but i put the right oil in i can assure you. i can't remember, i'm pretty sure the weight was 75w-140. Gear oil.
And i am very easy on my diff. i rarely drag and launch hard. slaming through my gears is about the most agressive i get on it. well besides track days.

Oh i think i was thinking of the Tranny Fluid. sorry.. it was late..

Which Royal Purple specifically did you put in there? It shouldn't have friction modifiers in it and it should be GL-5 rated.

Not sure if the LSD will lock in reverse, so don't panic until you do it in 1st on a slippery surface.
The presence (or lack thereof) of friction modifiers has exactly zero effect on the behavior of a Torsen diff

God, sorry how do some of the veterans put up with some of these posts.

A guy changes his diff fluid obviously after not doing any research does not know what kind he uses, and then blows it off like it does not matter when questioned about the noises.

You want help post the specific diff fluid you used with spec.
If you happened to use the wrong spec and weight it could ruin your differential, its that simple, or obviously not.

I knew this. I'm still trying to figure out if he put some kind of friction modified tranny fluid in his diff. (A trick question, if you will.)
