Pick up a can of silicone at your local Honda dealer. I believe it is 100% silicone. (not petrolium based) Being that you live in a warm climate, you should spray the silicone to ALL the rubber underneath your car, including cv boots at least once or twice a year. The silicone will condition the rubber and will be absorbed very quickly by the rubber.
Do NOT use a petrolium based lube on any rubber on your car.
