(not petrolium based) Being that you live in a warm climate, you should spray the silicone to ALL the rubber underneath your car, including cv boots at least once or twice a year. Do NOT use a petrolium based lube on any rubber on your car.
I did exactly what he said, and the noise is magically gone.
