Default rear end groaning

hey guys,

i have a problem with my MY2000 which hit 60k miles. in my passenger rear wheel makes a groaning (metal scraping metal in a rotational fashion) sound that corresponds with the speed of the car. when i take a right turn the groaning stops but, if i go straight or left the sounds persists.

I bought new tires and have balanced them but, the sound is still there.

I did a search on s2ki and found the main problem is the bearing/hub combo or axle nut. i haven't read anything about the sound going away when a making a turn though. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ben

Can you post a vid so we can hear the sound?

It could be a warped rotor, or brake dust shield that is bent, or the bearing or your cat is punishing you for putting socks on it's feet.
