Default rear end feels loose

Coming to work today my rear end felt loose. The car would pull left or right under acceleration and do the same when I would accelerate and let go of gas. Tire pressures are correct. Very strange feeling I have never experienced before. It almost felt like the I was swerving gently on purpose, made me nervous like the car would just swerve off the road. It also exagerrated my swerve when I would change lanes. Any ideas? I was going to put the car up on a lift today and look around. What should I look at. Diff, cv joints, steering rack?

I run 32 on the rear and 34 on the front. I have been driving with those pressures for 7000 miles.

You should "CHECK" your tire pressure. You could have a slow leak or possibly just need air.

How old are you tires? Were the roads wet at all? Are your lug nuts tight? Did you confirm your tire pressure today? Did you get any alignment changes made recently?

Only time I have felt that was when I was running s02's with worn tread in the rain. That scared the hell of me too.

They are re750's, plenty of tread left and the pressures are where they are suppoesd to be. no alignment or anything different. The car drove fine last friday. have not driven it because of the snow we had but the roads are clear now, so I thought i would take it to work.

The road was free of snow but maybe still slippery?

Let us know what you find.

My car has been doing this lately as well, but with this warm spell we've had lately it went away...maybe your tires aren't working as well due to the temps.

Cold tires + gravel washed from melting snow + Salt on road + cold ground = slippery conditions

I felt the same thing a few months ago, jacked up my car, and found that the very insides of my rear tires were worn down completely smooth.
