I run Amsoil SG 75-110 in my S & Z....both are part-time DD's.

Warning: Supposedly "VTM-4 fluid" will destroy your diff.

"VTM is meant for Pilots and MDX's only, and is very similar to automatic transmission fluid." Not the proper GL4 or 5 type oil.

Please stop spreading misinformation and REMOVE that option from your poll.

I personally use Mobil 1 75W-90 (I believe Billman uses that for all his customers as well). It's very easy to find and cheap.

I wanted the LE1605 but couldn't justify the cost. $40 per quart! That's insane! If you buy direct, the minimum qty is equally absurd, something like 5 gallons, but it's only like $10 per quart. Unless I get hard data that the LE is 4x as good as Amsoil, I'm not gonna pay ricks or anyone else that much for the fluid. Thats just my take.

That sounds like a crazy price. I have a hard time sourcing it in Canada, my last supply came from IndyMac who shipped it to me. I have one member that is going to get me 4 quarts at the Dragon event this year , which will last me a few years. I will see where he is getting it from.

This vendor is selling it for a bit less than Ricks, I don't know anything about them but they showed up in a search, still over-priced but much more reasonable than Ricks' pricing

FWIW, I ran a sample of LE1605 twice as many miles as I ran a sample of Amsoil 75w140, I had the fluids analyzed and the LE1605 used fluid sample showed 1/2 of the wear levels of the Amsoil fluid sample. It had much less metal paste on the magnet as well. I was so impressed with the fluid I will run it forever (as long as I can source it). Nothing wrong with the Amsoil fluids as I have run them in the past, but the LE1605 was really impressive.

Here is an interesting test

Doesn't matter what's best, matters what's adequate for the job. The Honda stuff is not adequate - it's not made for the s2000. Any of the other 3 will do just fine. Mobil1 is the easiest to source, and the cheapest, so it's what's in my car.

$40 is too high. Call a couple of 4-wheel drive truck places as some of them carry it. Here (north of LA) there's a shop called "4 Wheel Specialties Unlimited" that carries it. In fact I just called them today. They were out but will order more on Monday. However, I've also been considering Redline 90-110 which seems to be new. Does anyone have experience with this one?

Redline is good stuff. I don't think you will harm anything using it.
