Rear Diff Change on a CR
Hey guys just did the tranny and rear diff fluid change. Put honda MTF and amsoil rear diff fluid in the CR. Well ran into a problem with the rear diff change. The drain bolt came off with no problems. But the fill bolt i had a ton of trouble geting to due to the rear suspension beam in the way. I could barley fit a 23mm on it with the room. But i finally got it was woundering if this was only the CR or do all S have such a small spot. And if so what did u use to get in there. I could not even tourq the bolt back due to no room. Had to use a wratching wrench the circle side that is they only tool i could fit into there.

Yea i did that was just woundering on all the Diy's i have seen none have stated that you would need a wrench like that. You would think that some one would have stated this by now on the DIY's that only a certain wrench will fit in there just thought that was funny and i should have done a good step by step on this with pics.

a nice long 23mm box end wrench works perfectly, gives you enough torque to get it off easily. Just snug it tight when putting it back on and you will be safe. I also wished the diy threads had clearly indicated that as I had to go hunting for tools when I tried to do it the first time.

I use a box end wrench.
Always take the fill bolt off first.

you gotta make sure you can fill it up before you take all the fluid out!
