I actually sold my S2k (long story). I have an RX-8 now, but their forums suck compared to this community. This car came with coilover suspension and it is slammed so low I can't get it into my garage. I was able to raise the front no problem, but the rear coilovers are confusing me. I can't seem to find this version on the internet anywhere. Can somebody explain to me what steps I should take to raise the rear coilovers?
Or can somebody atleast identify this brand/style of coilover for me?
I color coordinated the three "rings" in the photo as to help with the explaination.

I am not familiar with the brand, but from the looks of it, red is the locking ring, yellow is the perch, and blue is a ring for adjusting how high up the damper body sits.
I'd say Fokker is pretty much there. It looks like yellow is the preload adjustment perch, red is the locking ring for the preload perch, and blue is a locking ring for the damper body that is threaded into a coilover sleeve. You'd probably want to pull the coilover out, measure the spring length, back the preload collar until the spring is fully relaxed, measure the spring length to get your preload. Now loosen the body lockring, spin the damper body to extend the length where you want it (make sure you have enough thread engagement), then bring up the preload ring to compress the spring to the same preload as before, and lock all the rings.
I originally posted up saying that they look like they're assembled wrong or just have a poor design. That was before i found the above link showing that they are indeed assembled as designed. Looks like they're just an unusual design to allow height adjustability independent of preload due to the presumably limited space in the rear of an RX8. The stupid part, IMO, besides having to stick your perch wrench between coils, is that sure, you can adjust both height and preload separately, but adjusting height WILL affect preload every time since the height perch is in the middle instead of at the bottom where it usually is. So with any height adjustment, you will have to reset preload to your desired spec.
