Default Rear Caliper piston

I just got some Reman. rear calipers from honda and they look great with one exception, the pistons seem to have afew little gashes in the top where they meet the brake pad shim. They are not too tall, but they do stick out alittle... should I be worried and take them back or is this not much of a concern?

If its where it meets the pad, you should be ok. Maybe take a file and clean them up a little.

Ya thats where it is, so filing it down shouldnt be a prob? They do come with a 3/36 warranty.

if it looks like a cross its fine, the rear calpers have a cross pattern on the surface of the piston. Posting a pic will solve everything though, good luck bud !

Yes the cross pattern is fine, but up on the actual contact part it looks like the tool grazed the piston and pushed some of that material up. Ill get those pics up tontie hopefully
