Rear brake tool

You should be able to use the square. Open up the bleeder valve, and push in as you turn.

That tool works, but slips off the piston and was a pain to use last time I pulled my rears. There are some more pictures of the tool the other guys mentioned about halfway down the page linked below. It looks much easier to use than the square!

I use the same tool that is posted above but bought the autozone model for like 30 bucks. You pay to rent and can keep or return

Use a 3/8 extension with no socket.

Grind the end off so its sharp and square, and it wont slip.

Works better than the tool ever could.

I use a socket wrench with no socket. Mine is not grinded down but if you hold it right it will work. Getting it to move the first bit is the hardest, once it is "broken" free, it gets easier. I always take the top off the reservoir to relieve pressure. Not sure if that makes a difference or not, but I do it anyway.

i use a big flat chisel and it usually does the job

+1 for a 3/8in extenion

When I did my brake last time, It worked great even without grinding the tool
