Thumbs up Re: "hanging" idle.....any help ?

-- I have a MY 2005 - i installed (i think to my regret) a K&N air intake tube with filter - the one that sits in place of the stock box (i removed stock air box) - supposedly i got an hp increase (which is good) and air induction sound is very good - but my once rock solid idle, and surgical throttle response with stock air box is gone - it doesn't drop back to idle smoothly, seems to hang-up then settle

-- my son has exact same install, on exact same car, and his throttle response, and idle are PERFECT

-- i have gone over everything, and there are no line leaks at all, everything is buttoned up nicely, and the cables appear identical (my car to my sons)

-- any suggestions ?

Not snug, are they hooked up correctly? What cables do you speak of?

Just a thought, Maybe you guys over oiled your filters??? It can cause weird readings with the intake sensor, not sure of the exact name.
