Where did you find Bridgestone RE-11A tires? They were discontinued about a year ago. And I need a set for my S2000!
Noisy meaning tire squeal?

Honestly, the RE71 is a great tire, but won't wear as well as the RE11. The Rival S is good for the track, and we have gotten 14 hours of endurance racing out of them, but they aren't good in the rain. Real hard to beat RE11 for all around street tire. Maybe only thing close is Michelin PSS, not sure I'd they are made is stock size

It looks like the current Extreme performance summer tires have really sacrificed noise for performance. With the RE-11A no longer an option I may have to step back to Max performance -- not that I ever really needed all the RE-11A had to offer. The best of the Max looks like the Michelin Pilot Super Sports. I'm sure the lap record at Mid Ohio will remain safe once I fit these.
I really want acceptable hydroplane resistance. I hit a puddle on the turnpike during a rail squall over by Exit 10 last month and I'm not sure if I was steering or using the tires as rudders. Really felt like no road contact. Rarely happens but...

Michelin pilot super sport was the worst, for me, too soft sidewall
Ignoring price and 1-second differences in lap times at Mid Ohio or Road America how are these tires as performance street tires remembering I have (and love) the RE-11A tires? I had the Star Specs on the car two years ago and replaced them with the RE-11A tires.
I'm really not pushing the car very hard as the RE-11A tires are close to 15,000 miles in exactly 2 years and the tread is still legal so tread wear is really not an issue.
Potenza S-04 Pole Position?
Potenza RE-71R?
Direzza ZII Star Spec?
Ventus R-S3

I have also been saying how great the MPSS is overall. For their intended purposes (NON track high performance use), I would say their reviews are overwhelmingly positive.
You may initially see a decrease in absolute steering response as compared to your worn RE11's. RE11's respond very well...and almost any tire tends to improve in response as it wears.
Tires aren't made forever. You shouldn't be so resistant to change.

I read that the RE71R wear really fast vs RE11, how it is in real world ve RE11 and since the RE11A where not available now, when i will need to replace my rears RE11A, can i mix RE71R rear with Front RE11A?
