drew, next time you're by the dealership id like to hear your rattle. i have a rattle that is at times OVERPOWERINGLY loud between 4 and 6, predominately between 4 and 5. I only hear it with the top up, and the severity differs from day to day, but at its worst it greatly overpowers the drone from the invidia 70mm single, which is saying something. im currently running a gutted cat, but have the invidia 70mm TP sitting in my garage waiting for my lazy ass to get a secondary o2 sensor so i can pop them in at once.
im curious as to whether we're experiencing a similar sound, or something different altogether.

I'd be interested in hearing yours as well so I'll plan to stop by next week. The rattle in unbelievably embarrassing.
I've got the car on stands with the front bumper removed right now. I'm trying to take care of the rattle and figure out the electronics on the diy air pump delete. I finished soldering the actual device but haven't had the time to trace all the car's electrical. I need to update that thread with some info too...
You guys close at 6, right?

Fixed!
I added a 3/4" nut as a spacer between the spring and TP and used a valve spring compressor to make it all fit. The tone is much more solid and throaty throughout the entire range. No vibration at all.
Hopefully it works as a long-term solution.
