Rattling sound behind driver's seat
Hi everyone,
From time to time, I get a rattling/buzzing (more of a rapid rattle) when I'm driving. It seems to be coming from just behind my head. It only happens once in a few days, and is evident when the top is up or down.
I'm guessing its something to do with the soft top supports/hinges etc?
Has anyone ever had this problem?
Thanks in advance.

Often a lose spare tire hold down.
Had that noise as well a couple of weeks after purchasing my S...was driving me crazy. I read on here that u will hear strange buzzes and other sounds in the S that you normally wouldn't in any other car but something felt that the sound was not normal and wasn't there until a day or 2 before. I looked everywhere in the interior. Than I decided to check the trunk and sure enough the spare's support/hold down was a little loose which was emitting the metal to metal clinking/buzzing sound whenever it rubbed on the spares steelie.

I had this noise too and tried adjusting my spare tire many times. Had sound for about 2 years. Finally, after trying to enjoy a quiet ride the other day, I tore into my car.
Found the fix and it was easy but tricky. It is a Nut loose within the roll hoops just past the seat belt. I noticed this sound when I slapped my roll hoops while not moving. You will need a 10mm open end wrench to get to it unless you remove your roll hoops. (Not easy job)
Mine was loose and I'm unsure why but after a couple turns with the wrench, I have yet to hear the buzz. been over a week ago now.
