yeah let me know, mine bugs me, and i want to know if you are dealing with the same issue, and if yours gets fixed i want to know how it was dealt with.

Does anyone know anything about the heat shield manifold?

yeah the heatshield for the manifold could possibly make a similar sound, but from what i hear in my car, the location doesnt seem to be correct . And also the noise i hear really only happens when in gear and deccelerating, wheras I assume that if the manidolf heatshield was vibrating at a particular frequency, it would probably do it, at the correct rpm regardless of whether its in gear or not. But that doesnt completely rule it out though.

Check this out guys...I had a rattling coming from my engine and a strange rattle that sounded like it was coming from underneath the vehicle. Took it to Honda Service Dept. and they hooked me up! Rattling coming from the block was the chain tensoir failing! Then they cured the rattling that was coming from underneath the vehicle. I had a motor mount that went bad. See my car only rattled and vibrated when I was in any gear in between 3K and 4K Rpms. The engine rattle only came about when I was at idle. So 1200 bucks later and Hurricane Dennis passing by! I got my car fixed woohoo! My ride is healthy! Hope this helps!

Try changing your gearbox fluid! it costs next to nothing for the fluid and its good to change it anyway every now and then anyway.

Alright I have the Spugen exhaust.. it turned out to be the damn resonator... replaced the cracked up heatshiled and its still there

Wondering what cost 1200 bucks....

I've done more than TEN chain tensioner jobs. Parts and labor 150 total. Takes about 4 minutes to replace.
