Ran out of fluid during tranny fluid change
I started changing my transmission fluid yesterday and spilled a lot of my redline fluid in the process. After both quarts were empty the fluid was still not coming out of the fill hole (yeah I spilled a lot 
) so I topped it off with mobil 1 10w30 synthetic, which the helms manual says is OK for temporary usage.
The fluid in the tranny right now is probably 90% redline and 10% (or less) mobil 1. It shifts perfectly smooth when warm, no grinding or anything. Do you think it'll be OK until next change or should I buy more fluid and change it again right away?

Peace of mind I would get back under and change the fluid..
I'm sure most people will tell you its ok for now.
Key is that it says for "temporary" use.... so until you decide to get your ass back under there and switch it out.......it's temporary.
Sooner the better IMO....

I used a simple 30cc syringe, without needle. You should be able to get one at your local drug store. It took me 30 to 40 squirts to fill up the tranny but I didn't spill a drop.

Or... use one of these and get it done in 2 big squirts

I wonder what you could clean it with to use for both differential and tranny fluid changes.

I have been using the lincoln suck gun on various fluids and cars for a long time and have never cleaned it with anything, when I switch fluids I let it hang hose end down for a few minutes and have not had any problems. Try it you will like it
