Default ran low on oil....anything to watch for?

I was about 1.75-2.0 quarts low. i filled it up it idles fine and runs great very smooth no noise or anything. The oil was at the bottom of the dipstick but still there, just under the low line stupid i know. I am going to be much more diligent about it now! anything i should worry about?

The only time that you should have been concerned (and I doubt you would have noticed) is if, when your oil was that low, you drove the car hard and the oil light came on. That would have indicated at that moment the oil pump was drawing air and no oil was being pumped to those vital areas that needed. The next question you need to ask yourself is, "How often did you drive it like that when the oil was that low?"

i drove it to work this morning.....30 miles no issues ran like a top perfectly smooth. I put in 5.1 quarts at change so i should of still had over three in there so i hope i am ok? I drive the car hard pretty much all the time. Alls well so far and oil is at the same level as last night!

Take off the vtec solenoid. 3 bolts. There's a metal mesh screen. If there's damage to the motor, you'll have metal shaving bits stuck on there.

I doubt you spun a bearing for one reason. You would post "My motor is making a weird noise. Help!"

Don't be going nuts taking apart stuff (VTEC solenoid screens, etc.) if the car is running fine. If it's damaged, it's damaged. Finding bits of metal won't reverse any of it, so just drive it till you have symtoms.
I can tell you, if you remove that solenoid, there is a chance you won't get it back on just right and you'll just add an oil leak to your sleepness nights.
If you're coming to the Vancouver meet, I'll check it out for you.

I agree with NOT taking the VTEC solenoid off. There is a tensioner connected to it, and if you do not take if off correctly, and put it back on correctly, your engine will start to make a ticking sound that you will notice at low revs.

It does not hurt to check for shaving in the oil filter, but what are you going to do, if you find them? More than likely, continue to drive the car, right???
