Radio Code help !
Yes it's another radio code post, but mine is different, or so i think.
I got the S/N from the radio with the button trick. Went to honda with the number and got a list of radio codes for the S/N.
Apparently there are a few different head units with that S/N with various codes. With trial and error i went down the list (approx. 10) and none of them worked.
Aside from pulling the head unit and getting the part # any other ideas ?
btw - the radio code card that came with the car didn't work either.

How many times did you attempt to enter a code (including mistakes where you had to start over again)? After 10 tries, you are locked out for 1 hour with the radio power ON. Making any further attempts will do nothing.
I have not heard of this "trick". The only one I know of is the read the S/N right off the radio.

I tried 10 times, pulled the radio fuse for a bit, then finished out the rest of the list.
The trick was hold down buttons 1 and 6 then turn the HU on. Then it displayed U4000-L1056.

You may have to take the radio out to confirm the S/N.

The 00-01 cars can't retrieve the radio's SN via the preset buttons.
The # you need is the Reference #. It will allow you to cross reference with the serial # to determine the correct code. If the wrong code has been put in repeatedly, the radio will display ERR. Pull the Back-up fuse, and the radio will reset.

check for a little sticker on the inside of the glovebox door - sometimes dealers put it there - it contains the serial # and radio code and is a duplicate of the sticker found on your radio card.

I wish there was a sticker somewhere that said it. The radio was probably replaced under warranty and the previous bastard didn't leave me the code that worked.
