Radiator Leak

Yep, I have a set of cable operated pliers that helped me quite a bit...even with the intake manifold removed.
Good tool to have. And some long reach pliers too.
Also correct about using constant tension clamps.
Don't use worm clamps. They don't expand and contract as the rubber swells and shrinks for temp changes or age. They're also easy to over tighten. They will crush the rubber and eventually lose tension over time, causing leaks or hose failure.
Constant tension clamps can expand and contract and provide...well...a constant amount of tension to keep the hose from leaking without damaging it.
Also, use the factory spec'd EPDM rubber hose unless you're building a race car which necessitates silicone and will see a race-car like schedule of maintenance.

Just get yourself something like this and make your life easier when it comes to clamps. I believe this one is like their older one and locks in place as well, so on those harder to reach ones, you can keep the clamp locked open with the tool until you put it back in place. Dad has had a Lisle one for years and years at his shop. As mentioned, as much as people hate on them, these are the best hose clamp you can use and I would never replace one with a worm drive clamp
