Radiator Flush

Just finished changing my coolant, the problem I have is the heater blows hot but only the top of the rad is hot, from about 1" from the top the rad is stone cold, what have I done wrong ?

All sorted now guys cheers, just kept on repeating Billmans method and bingo, took most of the afternoon but
